Why am I in this fight?

After serving two terms with AmeriCorps, volunteering, and working with nonprofits I felt that a lot of the work I was doing was putting a bandaid on problems that could and should be fixed with good legislature. This led me to seeking out grassroots work with Biden and democratic campaigns.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

This pandemic has clearly demonstrated the need for new leadership and the stakes are too high for any of us to sit out. We need to elect Democrats up and down the ballot this November. This is one of many reasons why I chose to get involved and help the Democratic party.

Why am I in this fight?

I'm fighting this fall for the right to choose, equitable LGBTQ+ policy, public education, police accountability, racial justice, and strong female leadership in my home state of New Hampshire. I grew up in a family of public school teachers, and I have always felt a responsibility to stand up for what's right. This fall, I stand for myself, my family, my neighbors, my experiences, and my home state.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I'm in this fight because I know that this is the most important election of our lifetimes. In the moment of crisis, leadership matters, and the current administration has failed the American people on all fronts. This November, we have the opportunity to elect Democrats up and down the ballot who fundamentally understand the need to address issues such as the current public health crisis and racial justice while making sure that we have an economy that works for every American.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I'm in this fight because I've had a lifelong passion to fight to improve social issues. As a LGBTQ+ man who grew up with two mom's, I'm motivated every day to insure Democrats win and continue to work to improve the inequality within our country. The fact that our government isn't working for everyone, that corporate money has taken control of our politics, has to change. I believe that the only way for everyone to have the same chance at success is to elect Democrats up and down the ballot. I feel so privileged every day to be in this fight.

One thing my vols would never guess about me is...

I love to garden!

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

Democrats are working to help America live up to its ideals, while Republicans are trying to preserve the old social order, a system that was built on oppression and benefitted only a select few. We need to elect Democrats everywhere, from the White House to the State House, so that America can be a place where there is liberty and justice for all.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I am motivated to work towards a country that serves everyone. I think small actions taken by individuals can make a big difference and I organize to help make voices across New Hampshire heard. Some of the causes I care deeply about include criminal justice reform, reproductive rights, and climate justice.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I am in this fight because I refuse to wake up on November fourth feeling like I could have done more. I am in this fight for women's reproductive rights, for LGTBQIA+ rights, for people of color, and anyone who has ever felt marginalized.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I am fighting to elect Democrats because I believe that the American Experiment succeeds when we amplify the voices of those who have been silenced. I am fighting for the women in my family who stood on the picket lines, who rose pre-dawn to work the mills, who worked as nurses in refugee camps, who died from illegal abortions, who fought for their right to love, and right to live.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

As the son of a public school teacher, I know the good that government can do. And as a member of a generation deeply concerned about climate change, I know that we will have to be ambitious. Organizing is the only way to create the ambitious and compassionate politics that we need.

Why am I in this fight?

I'm in this fight because I believe in progressive policy reform and justice for all Americans! I've seen firsthand how the political is inherently personal and believe grassroots organizing with New Hampshire voters will be so important for electing Democrats up and down the ballot this election. I'm so eager to play a part in enacting that change within the Granite State!

My High School superlative was...

Biggest Klutz.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

First, I love talking to people. Second, I am passionate about politics. There is no better way to satisfy both passions than to become an Organizer! In all seriousness, I could not stand by and not get involved in this historic election, and I believe that Organizers are the front lines of this campaign. Our work is crucial to ensure that Democrats are elected up and down the ballot in November. I love helping people that are passionate get involved in their communities and find their voice.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I've never felt worse than that day after the 2016 election, and that was the day I decided I was going to do everything I could to make sure that no one would be feeling that way this November. New Hampshire is not only a bellwether for the whole nation, but it's also been a second home state for my whole life and I'm fired up to make sure it stays blue this fall.

What is your walk up song?

"Everyday" by Logic

When I was a kid I wanted to be ___ when I grew up

a meteorologist that chased Tornadoes

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

Experiencing rural Arkansas poverty and power structures that are used to oppress people that don't align with White "Christianity" have played a huge role in fundamentally shaping my values. It's vitally important to support causes that will bring justice to our society. Electoral organizing is one part of dismantling systems of oppression. As a southerner, I'm always in awe of the civil rights movement to dismantle systems of oppression. That movement connects me to this work.

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

I'm in the fight to elect Democrats for many reasons, but my biggest motivator is healthcare, especially amidst a pandemic. We cannot sit idly by while Senate Republicans try to strip away healthcare from struggling Americans; it is imperative that we elect politicians who believe that healthcare is a human right, and who are working to expand public options to ensure that everyone in this country is protected when they need it most.

Why am I in this fight?

The very first election I was ever able to vote in was the 2016 Presidential Election. When the results came in, I was appalled. I was overcome by the need to make sure that Donald Trump did not get elected again. I am so excited to be working and organizing in a swing state like New Hampshire to ensure I do everything in my power to follow through on my promise to myself.

I'm organizing in:

8FD5C187-B960-45B9-8759-91D0997CA8A4-E1D

Why am I in this fight?

Donald Trump has tried to turn this country into a place that thrives on hate, racism, and misinformation. I believe by electing Democrats in November, we can begin to both repair the damage he has inflicted and strive to create a more compassionate and inclusive America. I want to part of the fight to actualize that change.
